L’ex attaccante del Manchester United, Wayne Rooney, ha firmato un contratto di tre anni e mezzo con il Birmingham City, squadra di seconda divisione inglese. Il giocatore, che ha appena concluso la sua esperienza con il DC United, è stato scelto come successore di John Eustace, esonerato lunedì. Nonostante la promozione in Premier League non sia stata menzionata esplicitamente, sembra essere l’obiettivo principale del club. Rooney si è detto entusiasta di unirsi al Birmingham City e ha commentato che il club ha un progetto ambizioso.
